People ask questions for many reasons – only ONE of which is to actually get information. The answers and information people give and receive often depends upon what questions are asked – and how. In many ways, our very quality of life is partially determined by the types of questions we ask ourselves and others. Our (conscious and subconscious) minds will come up with answers to everything asked. The answers we get does not always tell us what we (think we want or) need to know.

There are MANY words in English that start with the letter “C”. There are far too many to list, but some of my favorites include: caring, compassion, and commitment. Yet there is another COMMON “C” word that is often (unintentionally?) mis-used.

“I am” I said – to no one there. No one heard; not even the chair.
Popeye the (spinach-eating) Sailor is famous for saying “I am what I am” – the same refrain the Biblical Moses heard from the Burning Bush when asking his “Lord God” who he was talking and listening to. Taking The Lord/God’s name in “vain” refers more to what we may say after “I am…” than an inappropriate reference to the Divine.
Are you a “Believer”? You might be – and not know it!
I have NOT (yet) seen the new movie called The Book of Eli, so I cannot comment on the plot, acting, or actual “message” or “meaning” of the film’s “content” – but I thought it quite interesting how the film is being “marketed” to the “masses”.

Life may be many things, but most are measured in time. Every moment is, literally, the time of our lives! While we do not always make the “best” use of it (in a “timely” manner), most people are at least aware of and are able to appreciate the “passage” of time – and, on some level, realize that NOW is all there is. In the respect of an eternal present moment, time does not exist – and yet humans have created numerous incredibly elaborate methods and systems of categorizing and recording time. It sometimes seems like our culture “worships” time (and money). The concept of time that sometimes seems to vary the most is the (yearly) calendar.
