What You See is What You Get

Thursday, November 22nd, 2018

What you see is what you get. How you see and what you focus on may make more of a difference in what is possible and what there is to receive than what may or may not be there or what you may or may not perceive.

What do YOU see? What do you look for?

Do you see potential? Do you see beauty? Do you see assets and benefits and opportunities? Or do you see limitations and obstacles and challenges? Do you see commonality – or do you see differences. What do you (choose to) see?

Perception is a reflection of projection – and priorities.

We never really see anything or anyone as they are but as we are. Perception is a reflection of projection – of what is within us recognized outside of us. We see not with our eyes but with our minds. When you believe it you will see it.

What you look for and when, where, how, and why you look for it determine what you can and will find, see, and get.

What you seek is what you will find.

If you are searching for the one person who can change your life, look in the mirror.

Some people (mainly) see and emphasize similarity.

Others first see similarities but then notice differences.

Some first notice differences and then see similarities.

Still others (mainly) notice differences.

And then there are those who are less predictably consistent and whose perception and priority vary with circumstance and context.

Which best describes YOU – and how is it similar or different from others?

Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see.

None are so blind as those who refuse to see.

“How much do you let what you wish to be true stand in the way of seeing what is really true?”

We can have 20/20 vision and still be blind to much/most around us or even in front of us. We all have blind spots.

Only others can help us see what is behind us – or what might be right in front of us. Others can also help widen the window we look through. Mental interpretation influences perception and often matters more than visual acuity.

“When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.”

The observer effect of quantum physics is not being able to look at anything (or anyone) without having an effect. HOW do YOU look? What effect might you desire to have from how you look at others – and/or how they look at you?

What do want others to see and think about you? What do you want others to see and think about themselves?

To get the best from anyone or anything, look for it; ask for it; expect it; accept it; nurture it; encourage it; value it.

Seek to recognize, acknowledge, appreciate, celebrate, reward, and share what is desirable.

How Do YOU See The World?

Perspectives and world views are even more internal and virtual than they are external and physical. Seeing may increase believing, but (openness to) believing often precedes being able to see. (more…)
